About Us
Welcome to our club. We have over 600 members and cater for all levels of play from
social to interclub. We have 9 quick draining Omniturf artificial grass courts which
are densely woven to eliminate the surplus sand you see on some other surfaces.
We run tournaments throughout spring and summer and Club Sessions run for most
of the whole 12 months. Excellent advance court booking facilities
are available and swipe cards are available to access clubhouse facilities at any
time. These are just some of our points of difference from other clubs. .

Services
To ensure things run smoothly the club pays for a part-time Club Manager. We are
fortunate to have experienced people in place as well as very active Junior, Midweek
and Senior Committees. Programs for each year provide plenty of interest and variety.
An outline of our main activities is in the How to
Join section.
We thank local businesses for their ongoing support. These include Zavitos
Restaurant, Scarbro Construction, Barfoot & Thompson, Bush Rd Panelbeaters
Paul Little Motors and Harcourts. Their financial support is valued by us so please
support them when you can.
Special thanks also to all those club members who give their time to help run the
club.

Visitors
Mairangi Bay Tennis Club welcome visitors to the Club who are accompanied by a Club
member. Payment of a small court hire fee of $10 per adult, $5 per child must
be deposited in the club post box before play (in the
wall by the downstairs door). Other visitors are welcome if the Club Manager is
on duty and can open the court gates for the visitor. The courts are protected
by a computer security system which requires a special swipe card for access to
he courts.

Flood Lights
Court lighting is free so you can enjoy playing in balmy summer evenings. We encourage
players to use spare courts with lights on already rather than turn on an extra
set. This saves energy and saves the planet!! Each time a bulb turns on it shortens
its life and they cost around $400 each to replace. To respect the rights of
nearby residents the lights must be turned off by 10.30pm. The switches
currently operate on a manual system and the relevant switches are clearly marked
in the downstairs clubroon close to the Junior noticeboard..

Court Rules
In keeping with our image as a top Shore club, appropriate tennis apparel and non-marking
shoes must be worn at all times. Men can not wear singlets. Smoking and the consumption
of alcohol on the courts is expressly prohibited. Chewing gum and glass should not
be taken on to the courts. Any rescheduled interclub matches must first be
cleared with the Club Manager for court allocation.
